The biggest movies, the biggest stars in the most fashionable of designer dresses on the biggest fashion runway in the world- The Oscars red carpet. And on sunday night, the stars did not disappoint. Amidst the sea of floor length, ball gowns and long trains, these are some of the trends that made it onto the Oscars red carpet.

Metallics. Naomi Watts, Halle Berry and Nicole Kidman cut svelte figures in their metallic embellished gowns.

Pale Hues. From Anne Hathaway’s pale pink to Amy Adams’ pale blue, pale hues cast cool tones on the Oscars red carpet.
