Met Gala 2013: Celebrity Nail Art.

One of the biggest events in the fashion calendar took place in New York – drum roll for the Met Ball 2013. This year, celebrities went all out for the Punk: Chaos To Couture theme, from the whimsical to the downright wacky. Oh, and there were enough smoky black eyes to warrant calling in the New York Fire Department. But what the long-lens cameras might have missed, social media addicted celebrities provided.
Here are some of the best manicures from the MET.

Katy Perry.
Wore embellished metallic gold nails with stick-on red crystals. We spied a whole range of nails filed in this large oval shape backstage at the AW13 catwalks. Set to be a huge trend.



Rita Ora.
Nail art enthusiast Rita went for a quirky reversed French-mani embossed with gold chains and rhinestones.



Rosie Huntington – Whitely
Not usually a nail art fan, Rosie pulled out all the stops for this year’s theme sporting an ombre French-mani in black and gold.


Nicole Richie
We fell for Nicole’s love heart-tipped red and gold nails. 


Emmy Rossum
Emmy's nail art was inspired by her billowing Donna Karan dress as the same lace fabric and crystals from the dress were used.
