Favourite London Fashion Week SS13 Collections.

As London Fashion Week winds down, here is a look at some of our favorite collections.
Holly Fulton. With a slew of prints on the runways of London Fashion Week from snakeskin, aztec, tropical and floral prints to ones of currency. Holly Fulton’s take on the print trend was quite refreshing. Against a backdrop of bubblegum pink, lemon yellow and baby blue, Fulton’s rose motif of choice came through her entire collection as rose appliques and sequins. Whilst some climbed up legs on printed trousers, and lapels of cropped jackets others hugged skirts and bodices of evening gowns.

Vivienne Westwood. Retro Chic was the theme going through Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label summer/spring collection. Prim looking ladies took to the catwalk in pencil skirts with white gloves tied around their wrists, a jaunty candy striped shirt, padded Alice bands and scrunchies added a bit of tongue –in -cheek brilliance to the collection.

Sass and Bide. Inspired from a trip to Peru, Sass and Bide offered a collection that was a combination of both feminine and masculine elements offset against each other beautifully.Black and white Cravats came garnished with flowers, little minis were fringed and feathered while masculine jackets were capped with sequin. It was a collection beautifully put together.

Issa London.  It was a visual feast during Issa’s runway show as glamorous gowns and maxis with the most vivid of prints billowed down the runway. Exotic birds, vibrant flowers, tigers and elephants adorned twisted maxis with nipped in waists and Seventies Jumpsuits on quite a colorful palette of fuchsia, violet and scarlet with a bit of embellishment here and there. All this made for a glamorous show.

Temperly London. Known for her dramatic evening gowns with quite a celebrity fan base, Temperly’s Spring /Summer collection was truly a ‘return to elegance.’ With a 1950s inspired theme and look; poufy patterned skirts, lots of sheer and stripes in the prettiest of color palettes- cream, nude and black not forgetting the surprising pops of cherry red floated down the runway. Temperly delivered a wearable collection in both her separates and elegant gowns.
