Pre-Fall 2013-2014 Colour Trends.

The color palette for Pre-Fall collections is more restrained and austere compared to the summer/spring collections. However restrained the palette a few bright pops of color always manage to pop up amongst the muted ones.

Black. Black got dramatic on the pre-fall collections of Donna Karan, Theyskens’ Theory, Reed Krakoff and Philip Lim.


Burgundy. A color that has shown more staying power than most, Burgundy is still popular for many a designer like Vera Wang, Gucci, Oscar De La Renta and Donna Karan.


Neutral. Flesh tones never fail to blend in whether dark or light. Belstaff, Temperley, 3.1 Philip Lim.


Purple. Purple reigned regally at Missoni, Vera Wang, Honor and Herve Leger.


Gold. Gold set the tone at Burberry, Monique Lhuillier, Missoni and Temperley during the pre-fall collections.


Cobalt Blue. One of the boldest and most over-looked shades to wear, cobalt blue was bold and proud at Thakoon, Christopher Kane, Catherine Malandrino and Caroline Herrera.


Red. Sizzled on pre-fall ensembles from Diane Von Furstenberg, Burberry, Alice + Olivia and Rachel Zoe.


Teal. A cross between a dirty blue and green, teal did not only act as a backdrop at Gucci but also featured in collections from 3.1 Philip Lim, Catherine Malandrino, Oscar De La Renta and Timo Weilland.


Gray. Mute and neutral, gray blended in at Givenchy, Donna Karan, Reed Krakoff and Monique Lhuillier.


Orange. Orange brightened up the mood at Oscar De La Renta, Tibi, Rg & Bone, Vera Wang and Calvin Klein.
