Deep Purple.

From Victoria Beckham to Suki Waterhouse, celebrities are stepping out in deep purple tones. First spotted on Victoria Beckham in a white pencil skirt with purple jumper during New York Fashion Week Fall 2014, this purple tone is making quite the impression for Spring. At the Berlinale Film Festival premiere of Nymphomaniac, Uma Thurman paired her black gown with a furry purple shrug. Models Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne were both seen in this gorgeous hue at separate ocassions; Suki Waterhouse at the Elle Style Awards and Cara at the Mulberry party during London Fashion in a purple pantsuit while Georgia May Jagger took in the Simon Goa AW14 show in a short black dress with a purple jacket.

Colour Of The Year 2014: Radiant Orchid

From L-R: Prabal Gurung and Rochas summer/spring 2014 beauty looks

PANTONE, the international authority on all things colour, has selected its official Colour of the Year 2014 - Radiant Orchid.
Described as "a captivating, magical, enigmatic purple" set to make its impact on the fashion, beauty, art and design worlds, the hue has fuchsia, purple and pink undertones and replaces 2013's Emerald shade.
The best way to wear it? We'll be looking to the striking lipstick seen on Prabal Gurung’s summer/spring 2014 catwalk and the wash of lilac around the eyes at Rochas.
Being an expert on colour, Pantone naturally has its own guidelines for wearing Radiant Orchid when it comes to make-up.
This multi-faceted hue is seductive when combined with red and pairs well with its sister shades of lavender, purple and pink, which provides an assortment of lipstick and blush options. Radiant Orchid's exuberance also acts as a brilliant finishing touch to nails.
And when it comes to ready-to-wear, it mixes well with other tones like chocolate browns, and burgundy or bordeaux makes for a deeper, richer tonal story.

Paris Fashion Week: Fall 2014 – 2015 Color Trends.

Parisian runways were full to bursting with vibrant and purposefully jarring colour ways like at Christian Dior, Miu Miu and Carven. Tone on tone silhouettes flush with the power of plain were linear and loose at Haider Ackermann, Viktor +Rolf’s Fall/Winter 2014 show was a study in shades of grey and at Rochas; the palette was a mingling of muted pastels woken up by jolts of colour courtesy of ruched leather gloves. On that note, these are some of the color trends from Paris Fall/Winter 2014 – 2015 runways.
