Balenciaga, Balmain, Dolce and Gabbana and Jill Stuart dished out swoon worthy midriff baring ensembles for their spring 2013/14 collections. The modest version of this trend shows off a sexy inch or two of a perfect slice of skin around your midriff without going all the way to your belly button.
The best news about spring’s upper body raised hemlines is how chic it looks with high-waisted pencil skirts and pants.
It’s no wonder this ab-flashing trend has made its way onto the red carpet courtesy of Kristen Stewart who wore Balenciaga summer/spring 2013. She paired high-waisted trousers and white bustier top with some striking Louboutins. Selena Gomez went for the Dolce and Gabbana spring 2013 tropical look in a printed cropped bustier top with a high waisted orange pencil skirt.
Peyton List kept it chic in her black cropped top paired with a black and white striped A-line skirt.
