Mesh.

From L-R: Akris, Balmain, Anthony Vaccarello, Gucci and Valentino

Spring 2014 couldn’t arrive sooner for Solange Knowles, Ciara and Naomie Harris who have all dipped into one of its biggest trends: Mesh.
Naya Rivera sported a pantsuit with mesh sleeves, Naomie Harris stepped out in a Valentino gown with mesh panels where slits might have been and Ciara wore an illusion J.Mendel mesh gown for the 2013 American Music Awards.
This trend was on high rotation during spring 2014 collections fashion week at Blumarine, Gucci, Balmain, Akris and Roksanda Illincic. During fall/winter, layer this netted fabric over a heavier material for insulation. Come spring, wear mesh over a black (or a daring hue) camisole.

A Single Bare Shoulder.

From L-R: Givenchy, Lanvin, Vionnet, Isabel Marant and Nicolas Andreas Taralis

Forget plunging necklines, the one shoulder/ Grecian necklines are a hot ticket right now and are gaining more popularity amongst the celebrity set. A trend that’s noticeably been off the fashion radar in recent years, the one shoulder cut is currently enjoying a comeback after its appearance on the summer/spring 2013 runways of Lanvin, Isabel Marant, Vionnet, Givenchy and Chloe.
The 2013 Cannes Film Festival red carpets were over dozed on the single bare shoulder trend followed by awards and movie premiere red carpets. Angelina Jolie stepped out in a Saint Laurent one shoulder gown during the World War Z Tokyo premiere, Malin Akerman wore a red one shoulder jumpsuit which she teamed with nude pumps to the Disney and ABC's TCA Summer Press Tour Party. whilst Carmen Electra stepped out in blue ensemble for the 2013 Do Something Awards. To do this trend right, opt for a fuller shoulder be it long sleeved or short.
