Breezy Lace.

From L-R: Oscar De La Renta, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, J.Mendel and Temperley London

Used as both the main attraction and as inserts, lace was spotted all over the summer/spring 2013 collections and has now breezed its way onto the red carpet.
Whether crafted as a full on dress or skirt or used sparingly as chic inserts, this  delicate, feminine fabric is lightweight and lovable striking a lovely balance. And playful colours counter the naughtiness of the lace creating a sexy attitude that is anything but stodgy.
Often conservative or coquettish, lace can get cheap looking quickly. Choose high quality material, and pair vibrant hues with shoes in the same colour family or in a metallic. Wear hair loose to keep the overall look easy going and fun.
